Marking the revival of the traditional yellow gold appearance of the historic Sovereign, the set includes the Double Sovereign (£2), Sovereign, Half Sovereign and Quarter Sovereign, each struck in 22 carat gold to the Royal Mint's highest proof standard.
The obverse of every coin features the first definitive coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings, depicting the monarch uncrowned and facing left. The reverse showcases Benedetto Pistrucci's legendary depiction of Saint George slaying the dragon, a timeless masterpiece that has adorned the Sovereign since 1817 and remains one of the most celebrated designs in British numismatics.
Displaying deeply mirrored fields and beautifully frosted devices that define the Ultra Cameo finish, this remarkable set combines exceptional craftsmanship with outstanding rarity.
