Please read these terms carefully before using our site or making a purchase. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
With effect from 26 February 2026, customers will be required to review and expressly agree to these Terms and Conditions before any goods are dispatched.

Your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
2. Scope of Business
2.1 Capital Coins sells British gold coins and related precious metal products within the United Kingdom only.
2.2 Products offered may include (but are not limited to):

2.3 Capital Coins operates solely as a retail seller and does not act as an investment adviser, financial adviser, tax adviser, wealth manager or fiduciary.
3. Product Classification and Customer Responsibility
3.1 Capital Coins makes reasonable efforts to clearly describe whether a coin is:

Bullion – value primarily based on metal content

Proof – premium collector edition with enhanced finish and numismatic value

Graded – independently assessed condition by a recognised grading authority
3.2 The Customer acknowledges that bullion, proof and graded coins carry different pricing structures, premiums and liquidity characteristics.
3.3 The Customer confirms that prior to purchase:

they understand the differences between bullion, proof and graded coins
-
they have conducted their own independent research
-
they are not relying on any representation or statement made by Capital Coins as investment advice
4. No Investment or Tax Advice
4.1 Capital Coins does not provide financial, investment, wealth management or tax advice.
4.2 Capital Coins does not promote, facilitate or advise upon tax avoidance or tax evasion.
4.3 Any reference to tax treatment, legal tender status or capital gains considerations is provided for general information only.
4.4 Customers are advised to seek independent professional advice from a qualified tax adviser.
5. Pricing and Margins
5.1 All prices are displayed in GBP (£).
5.2 Our pricing includes a commercial margin reflecting sourcing, logistics, operational costs, business risk and market volatility.
5.3 Typical margins (subject to variation)
Pricing for products sold by Capital Coins may include commercial margins reflecting sourcing, logistics, operational costs, market volatility and prevailing industry practices.
Indicative margins may include:

Bullion products: commonly in the region of 3%–10%, although margins may be higher or lower depending on market conditions, supply and demand.

Proof coins: often within a range of approximately 24%–40%, reflecting collector premiums, limited mintages and prevailing market practice for numismatic products.

Graded coins: priced individually based on rarity, grading level, market demand, collector premiums and liquidity.
These ranges are illustrative only and do not represent fixed or guaranteed pricing structures.
5.4 Prices are subject to change without notice due to fluctuations in precious metal markets.
5.5 An order is only confirmed once full cleared funds are received.
5.6 Capital Coins reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order where a pricing error, system error or stock error has occurred.
6. Market Risk Acknowledgement
6.1 Precious metal prices fluctuate continuously and may move materially within short periods.
6.2 The Customer acknowledges and accepts that:

the value of coins may rise or fall
-
liquidity is not guaranteed
-
Capital Coins makes no representation as to future resale value

past performance is not indicative of future performance
6.3 The Customer bears full responsibility for any financial loss resulting from market fluctuations.
7. Orders
7.1 An order placed through our website constitutes an offer to purchase.
7.2 All orders are subject to acceptance by Capital Coins.
7.3 Capital Coins may refuse to process or fulfil an order for any reason including:

product unavailability

pricing errors
-
suspected fraud
-
verification failure
-
refusal to accept these Terms and Conditions
7.4 An email confirming receipt of an order does not constitute acceptance.
7.5 A contract is formed only once goods have been dispatched.
7.6 Order Limits and Payment Timeframes
For higher value transactions, Capital Coins reserves the right to require payment within a specified timeframe.
Where an order exceeds £50,000, Capital Coins may require payment to be received within 48 hours of confirmation. If payment is not received within the required timeframe, the order may be cancelled at our discretion.
Capital Coins reserves the right to limit order sizes or require alternative payment methods where necessary for operational, security or compliance reasons.
8. Payment Terms
8.1 Full payment must be received and cleared prior to dispatch of any goods.
8.2 Capital Coins accepts payment through approved payment methods which may include:

bank transfer

online bank transfer
-
other approved electronic payment methods as displayed at checkout.
8.3 Capital Coins does not accept prepaid cards or anonymous payment methods.
8.4 Payments must be made from an account held in the purchaser’s own name.
8.5 Capital Coins reserves the right to request additional identification or payment verification before processing an order.
8.6 Card payments may be authorised at the time an order is placed but may not be captured or settled until internal verification checks have been completed.
8.7 Capital Coins reserves the right to cancel any order and reverse payment authorisation where:

payment verification fails

identity checks cannot be completed
-
the payment method raises fraud or security concerns
-
the transaction appears suspicious or inconsistent with compliance obligations.
8.8 Capital Coins may require payment via bank transfer for higher value transactions.
8.9 Transactions exceeding £10,000 may require identity verification via Credas.
8.10 Capital Coins reserves the right to delay dispatch or cancel orders where verification is not completed.
8.11 Legal title to goods passes once cleared funds have been received in full.
8.12 Payment Method Restrictions
Capital Coins may refuse payments where:

payment does not match the purchaser’s identity

split payments are used
-
payments originate from unrelated third parties.
9. Sourcing and Authenticity
9.1 Coins are sourced from verified auction houses, recognised dealers and official mints.
9.2 Capital Coins takes reasonable steps to verify authenticity.
9.3 Capital Coins is not liable for defects not reasonably discoverable at acquisition.
10. Delivery and Risk
10.1 Delivery is limited to United Kingdom addresses only.
10.2 Capital Coins does not deliver to PO Box addresses.
10.3 Deliveries may require signature on delivery.
10.4 Delivery confirmed by the courier shall be deemed completed delivery.
10.5 Capital Coins cannot accept liability for deliveries to shared accommodation or workplaces once confirmed delivered.
10.6 Customers must ensure delivery addresses are accurate and secure.
10.7 Capital Coins is not responsible for courier delays.
10.8 Non-receipt must be reported within 14 days of dispatch.
10.11 Pre-Order and Multi-Item Orders
Orders containing pre-order items may be dispatched once all items are available. Capital Coins may choose to dispatch items separately or hold the order until all items are ready.
Estimated availability dates are indicative only.
11. Delivery Issues, Damage and Missing Items
11.1 Parcels are shipped using tracked and insured delivery services.
11.2 Damage or missing items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
11.3 Reports must include photographic evidence.
12. Storage and Insurance
Capital Coins is not responsible for loss or theft after delivery.
Customers are responsible for appropriate storage and insurance.
13. Returns and Cancellation
Returns are accepted only where goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Bullion, proof and graded coins are generally non-returnable unless faulty.
14. Order Cancellation
Due to market volatility, orders cannot normally be cancelled once confirmed.
Where cancellation is accepted, Capital Coins may apply:

up to 3% cancellation fee
-
loss resulting from market movements
15. Packaging and Presentation Materials
Packaging supplied by mints may contain minor cosmetic imperfections which do not constitute product faults.
16. Graded Coins
Grading opinions rely on third-party services such as NGC and PCGS.
Capital Coins does not guarantee a coin would receive the same grade if resubmitted.
17. Fraud Prevention
Capital Coins reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders where fraud is suspected.
18. Limitation of Liability
18.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
18.2 In particular, nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by negligence;
(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
(c) breach of the Customer’s statutory rights in relation to goods, including rights relating to goods being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose; or
(d) any other liability which cannot be excluded or restricted under the laws of England and Wales.
18.3 Subject to clauses 18.1 and 18.2, Capital Coins shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business, loss of goodwill or loss arising from market movements, price fluctuations or changes in resale value.
18.4 Subject to clauses 18.1 and 18.2, Capital Coins’ total liability to the Customer arising out of or in connection with any contract for the sale of goods shall be limited to the total price paid by the Customer for the relevant goods.
18.5 Capital Coins supplies goods for private use and collecting purposes only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Capital Coins shall not be liable for any commercial, business or resale losses suffered by the Customer.
18.6 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect the Customer’s legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.
19. Intellectual Property
All website content is the property of Capital Coins and protected by intellectual property laws.

21. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
22. Selling Coins to Capital Coins
22.1 Any indication of pricing, valuation or buy-back figure provided by Capital Coins constitutes an invitation to treat only and does not represent a binding offer to purchase.
22.2 Capital Coins is under no obligation to purchase any items submitted or sent to us for evaluation.
22.3 All items received may be opened, weighed, photographed and inspected for authentication, and such processes may be recorded for security purposes.
22.4 Capital Coins reserves the right to decline to purchase any item for any reason including authenticity concerns, condition discrepancies, market demand or compliance requirements.
22.5 Where an item is suspected to be counterfeit, stolen or unlawfully obtained, Capital Coins reserves the right to report the matter to the relevant authorities and retain the item where required by law.
22.6 If Capital Coins declines to purchase an item, it may be returned to the sender upon request. Return postage and insurance costs are the responsibility of the sender unless otherwise agreed.
22.7 Capital Coins shall not be responsible for any loss in market value occurring while an item is in transit to or from the Company.
