Struck to commemorate 70 years of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the coin features the special Platinum Jubilee reverse design marking the historic anniversary of the Queen’s accession in 1952.This example has been professionally graded PF69, representing an exceptional proof grade and making it a highly desirable collectible for modern Royal Mint proof coin collectors.
Struck in 22 carat red gold (0.9167 fineness) to proof standard, the coin weighs 15.50g and measures 27.30mm in diameter. The coin was originally issued within the Platinum Jubilee two coin gold proof set, which featured two different obverse portraits of Queen Elizabeth II.
