Issued by The Royal Mint to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, this highly limited 2002 gold proof 2 pence coin is struck in solid 22 carat gold and graded a perfect PF70 by NGC, the finest grade possible. The reverse features the Badge of the Prince of Wales with the motto ICH DIEN (“I Serve”), designed by Christopher Ironside, while the obverse bears the portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley.
Produced using specially prepared dies and polished blanks, the coin displays outstanding proof detail and mirrored fields. With a worldwide mintage of just 2,002 pieces, it is a distinctive commemorative issue marking a historic royal milestone.
